Claudia Practice: Design 2

During the Easter break I practiced two Claudia designs on my sister.

This one is design number 2. The vampire inspired design.

You will need:

*Illamasqua skin base
* Catrice foundation
*Essence matt powder
*Kryolan eye shadow palette-> grey,brown
*Kryolan supercolor-> red
*fake blood
*Essence lip stain
* eye brow kit
*brushes
*Black eyeliner
*pin tail comb
*hair mousse
*a black dress
*mascara

The MakeUp:

  • make sure face is clean and moisturize
  • apply a pale base-> mix the skin base with a light foundation
  • make sure to blend well!
  • powder-> make sure to especially powder the eye area as we don't want to have any greasy lines
  • using the grey eye shadow contour the face
  • fill in the eyebrows
  • first create some light dark shadows underneath the eyes, then using a black eye liner draw a winged line on the top lid but don't make the line to long or thick
  • go over the waterline with red supercolor
  • using the same colour and a very thin brush draw the veins that are going up to the eye/waterline
  • the mouth: first apply the lip stain onto the middle of the lips, then get the fake blood and apply a tiny bit onto the lips and also using your thumb smear some of the blood away from the mouth. supposed to look like she wiped/smeared it with her hand/finger, also using a finer brush create some run down blood->like it is dripping down from her mouth. You can do it on both sides but don't overdo it
The Hair:

My sister has natural wavy/kind of curly hair so I just worked in some hair mousse in the ends and made the hair look more voluminous and messy.

As for the clothing I told my sister to wear a black dress. I quite like the black long lace dress she chose.

The Pictures:

The lightning in our hallway is kind of crappy so the quality of the images are not the best but I didn't want to take the pictures in the bathroom so I have to live with it. Also it was just a practice.

 Close up eyes

 Close up mouth

And of course one with co-star Rosalie. You always need to have a cat pic^^ =^^= Meow.

And at last a family pic just for fun:) The cat looks slightly uncomfortable in the picture^^
And why does my sister has to be so much taller than me. I am the older one^^ I deserve to grow a little bit more :)

Overall the design was quite easy to recreate. And apart from the veins I am quite happy with the end result. I already used the thinnest brush I had but the veins were still too thick. I also realized that my sister is not made to stand in front of a camera . She kept giggling all the time which is fun but if you need an image with a more serious atmosphere/mood it is not so good.
