Claudia Practice: Design 4

Face Chart:

 Hair Design:

In the process of choosing my final Claudia design I also practiced design number 4 on my model. I also took the pictures in the studio. So they have a better quality than the practice images I took back home.

Product list:

*Illamasqua skin base
*Catrice foundation
*Essence matt powder
*Kryolan eyeshadow palette->green, dark green, blue ,dark blue, grey
*Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette-> nude brown tones, black
*Essence travel eye shadow palette->red
*brush kit
*eyebrow kit
*some transparent gel from Kryolan
*pin tail comb
*hair elastics
*spray bottle with water
*Wella gel spray
*paddle brush

Makeup step by step:
  • remove all of the makeup if the model is wearing any, nonetheless give it a wipe to remove any dust or anything else
  • moisturize
  • mix a tiny bit of foundation into the Illamasqua skin base to achieve a pale look
  • blend in well and then powder
  • take extra care of the eye area to avoid any greasy lines
  • start with the eyes: to create the dark shadows(spots) around the eyes start off with the lightest colour-> apply grey underneath the eyes as well as in the inner corners->you can also go down a bit( close to the nose and then down)->afterwards apply the brown , red and black. Make some bits darker than the others or have some bits where it looks more red-brownish. blend well so there are no hard edges!
  • no start doing the veins->use first the light blue and green and draw the veins around eyes, mouth and randomly on forehead, cheeks, jawline, throat. Afterwards go in with the dark blue and green and retrace the beginnings of the veins
  • if needed fill in the eyebrows ->but have to look natural
  • apply some nude coloured eye shadow onto the lips->want a pale look for the lips.
  • then you can apply some transparent gel on eyelashes, eyebrows, center of lips and underneath the eyes to create a kind of wet look->but only of you want to-> I applied some underneath the eyes
Hair step by step:
  • brush the hair well
  • it actually doesn't matter if the person has a middle or side parting but I decided to stick with middle parting
  • then spray some water on the hair until it is kind of towel dry-> you could also spray some Wella gel into the hair so that some parts will slightly stick together->this should create a wet look
->when I wet down the hair of my model it somehow didn't really look wet even though they were.

The Pictures:

I like the pictures as the face has a good paleness and she looks generally not well and like she would easily fall into pieces. She portrays weakness as well as sadness and partly looks emotionless. For my design idea I want  to use those key factors to create Claudia as a vengeful spirit.
