Homework: Take Gothic Inspired Pictures

I went to the Southampton Old Cemetery to take my Gothic inspired images. It was quite a walk there from our student halls but definitely worth it. The cemetery was just so beautiful and astonishing but on the other side I also felt like an intruder to walk over graves to take good pictures :D I generally like visiting cemeteries so I had a lot of fun but my friend who came with me wasn't so happy about it^^ I would have loved to come back when it would have been dark . One of my classmates in Germany actually lived on a cemetery. Her step dad was a priest and somehow they got this really old and spooky house on the cemetery. After they moved there I visited her a lot because I think it is quite cool to live on the cemetery. Just the thought about it makes me feel excited and curious as well as terrified.
Anyways here a some images from the cemetery. Taking the images in black white gives them an extra kind of spooky feeling.

A grave that has been overgrown by a bush

I think the sun in the pictures gives them a special feel to it.
It looks very beautiful

The big tombstones look especially astonishing in the sunlight, also if you change the angle when taking the picture it affects the atmosphere as well.

What I especially love about cemeteries are the angel statues. They give this expression of peace as well as a supernatural feeling, like they could start moving every second.

I also took a picture of a church(built in Gothic style) which was on the way to the cemetery .
Unfortunately I forgot the name of the church

I also found a picture of the Palace of Westminster and the Big Ben when I came to London once with my English class from Germany.
kind of back side view of the Palace of Westminster

Big Ben

I also just found a picture I took of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris when I went there for a week with my french class. The Notre Dame Cathedral also shows key points of the Gothic such pointed arches, gargoyles, a lot of decoration ,the rose window and definitely a lot more.
